After more than five decades together, 1970s glam rock band Angel has announced plans for a farewell tour set for 2026 and 2027. The run is intended to mark the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation and bring their live performances to a close.
The band has confirmed its first two dates so far. Angel will play March 27 at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, Illinois, followed by an August 7 show at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood. Additional dates are expected to be announced as the tour schedule takes shape.
The current lineup includes original members Frank DiMino on vocals and Punky Meadows on guitar, joined by longtime collaborators Danny Farrow, Charlie Calv, Billy Orrico, and Tommy Caradonna.
Formed in the mid-1970s, Angel became known for its theatrical image, all-white stage outfits, and a sound that blended glam rock with hard rock and progressive elements. While the band never reached major chart success, they built a loyal following that has endured for decades.
