Barry Manilow has released Another Life – 2026, a newly recorded version of a song he first released in 1992. The release announcement identifies the track as the final preview from his upcoming studio album, What A Time, which is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026.
The announcement states that Manilow recorded the updated version with longtime collaborator Michael Lloyd. The song keeps its focus on a relationship that has ended, with lyrics centered on distance, memory, and acceptance.
What A Time is described as Manilow’s 33rd studio album and his first nearly all-original album in almost 15 years. The project includes contributions from Babyface, Dave Cobb, Bruce Sussman, and Adrienne Anderson.
Manilow has also shared a lyric video for the new recording. The album follows a long career that has included pop standards, theatrical work, and major concert residencies. The new release adds another song to the rollout ahead of the full album.
