The Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VABVI) is proud to present “Dancing with the Stars of Burlington.” Dancing with the Stars of Burlington will pair a professional dance “instructor” with a local celebrity to compete in this exciting local dance competition.
Sunday, September 8, 2019. Seven (7) teams will compete for the title of Burlington Dance Star 2019.
This year’s teams feature:
Amanda Thibault (Meteorologist, Local 22 & 44) and Justin Gardner (Dance Works Academy)
Mike Jabour (Student Activities Director at South Burlington Middle and High School) and Juliana Dixon (Aspire Studio)
Luc Reid (technologist, Step Ahead Innovations) and Nicola Boutin (Fusion 802)
Kim Anderson (Director of Development and Communications for Community Health Centers of Burlington) and Rick Kinsman (Up North Dance Company)
Steve Gagner (Co-founder of 14th Star Brewing) and Rose Bedard (2Inspire Dance Company)
David Weiss (RN at UVM Medical Centers Level 1 Emergency Department, Volunteer EMT for St. Michaels Fire and Rescue) and Lauren Kaye Sylvia (Dance Works Academy)
Tom Torti (President, Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce) and E. Victoria Moore (Salsalina)
Amber LeMay, founder of the House of LeMay, a local drag entertainment troupe
Elizabeth Seyler, Ph. Dl., aka Dr. Tango (Seven Days dance writer and critic)
Craig Mitchell, aka Oliver Twisted (founding member of The Orange Factory, fathered and cultivated the dance music scene in Burlington)
